This video showing the basic concept of would healing process after skin is injuried or cut, if similar biological process can be adopt to building envelop which allow the skin to heal naturally as well, our building would be more durable and long last.

Just remember that the skin and body are capable of much more than simply healing. With the onset of homeostatic paradigms in future building systems and current evolutions in HVAC, I think that would be a more realistic venture. I just don’t want you focusing so much on the “healing” aspect of the skin that when you get to the end of your thesis you’ll feel forced into a corner and forced into doing a project that relies solely on this one aspect that has limited (perhaps that’s not the best word, maybe “specific range” of) application to architecture.
